Salvation
Six Steps to Salvation
“Men still cry, “What must I do to be saved?” The Bible provides a clear answer.
- Acknowledge “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). “God be merciful to me a sinner (Luke 18:13).
- Repent “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3). “Repent, ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.” (Acts 3:19).
- Confess “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).
- Forsake “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto the Lord...for He will abundantly pardon” (Isaiah 55:7).
- Believe “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned: (Mark 16:16).
- Receive “He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:11-12).
Why not make your eternal decision now and make Jesus your personal Lord and Savior right now. He is the greatest friend you will ever have. Just repeat the following words, and if you believe them with your heart, you will be born again (Romans 10:9-10).
“Jesus, come into my life. Forgive me my sins. I ask that you cleanse my heart, and make me a new person in You right now. I believe that You are the Son of God and that you died on the cross for me.
Jesus I want to thank You for living me enough to die for me. I accept all that Your shed blood bought for me on the cross, and I believe that You rose from the dead to redeem me and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name I pray.
If you have prayed this prayer, congratulations! You are now a “new creature in Christ” as a 2 Corinthians 5:17 in the New Testament says, “...old things are passed away, behold, al things are become new.”
Friend, you have a whole new life with Jesus to look forward to, starting now. Your slate is clean before God. Your spirit has been reborn because of Christ’s great sacrifice and love for you. Please let us know your decision to follow Christ and that you are born again and we will send you a free booklet to help you begin your new life as a believer.
