Looking at Life through the Eyes of G-d
Scriptures: 1 Samuel 17:4-11, 24, 36
G-d allows us to be in problems or difficult situations in order to show us what we are made of and who we are in Christ Jesus. Anyone can praise G-d in good times but, what happens when we are facing the greatest giant in our life?
When Goliath warred against the nation of Israel, forty thousand Israeli soldiers, who, with their sheer number had the ability to defeat one man, did not have the willingness to do so. Instead of seeing themselves as G-d’s army, 40,000 strong men chose to look at the problem thinking: 1. Goliath is too big to defeat. 2. While they were able, they were not willing. Meanwhile, David, a small shepherd boy to the outside world, did not have the physical ability to defeat the great giant, but because of his faith he had the willingness to conquer Goliath. Instead of thinking that Goliath was too big to be beaten he thought that Goliath was too big to be missed.
Your perception determines your reality. Your perception of the problem determines whether you have the ability or willingness to solve it. David in his flesh may not have had the ability but with G-d’s supernatural power he had the willingness. Are you willing and ready to look at your life through the Eyes of G-d? Things can only get better and easier. Through G-d and His supernatural power He will teach us how to respond to life’s toughest problems. As David did, let us use it so that we may defeat all Goliaths that may come our way.
G-d Bless You,
