Free at Last
The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined (Isaiah 9:2). "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31-32
In a season when most of people are thinking about getting or giving something to someone or themselves, what about receiving the gift of freedom and/or sharing it with someone who may be dwelling right now in the land of the shadow of death. Jesus says in John the He is able to make His disciples free. Free from what one might ask? We can be free from any and all things that are holding us captive. It may be drugs, alcohol, nicotine, pornography, food, lust, depression, sickness, fear, and much more. Almost all these things constitute disease. We can be free from all disease by simply getting to know the truth that is Jesus Christ and His Word. By simply knowing and acting upon the word of G-d deliverance can take place immediately.
In John 8:36 The Lord went on to say:"if the Son shall make you free, you shall be free in deed". That's G-d's promise to every believer if we continue in His word, no matter how dark our valley may be! There is a reward, freely given to the people who dwelt in the valley of the shadow of death, or walked in darkness; it is a treatment, a benefit, a new light that will shine in their horizon, to illuminate the darkness that may still hover over our lives.
Sin and sickness are tools used by the devil to attempt to destroy our lives; But thanks be to G-d, who gives the victory through Christ Jesus our Lord. Why not accept and share the best gift one could ever give or receive: The gift of freedom, only found in our Lord Jesus Christ. That's why He came.
Have a Merry Christmas and a free New Year!!!
