Heartfelt Worship
In Scriptures we find over and over again the Lord calling out His people to an intimate relationship. Many times we miss G-d big time by getting our lives so busy with everything else, including church activities, yet neglecting time alone with Him. We read in the book of Luke that the Lord expects from us heartfelt worship and intimate time daily. 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND...." I realize we shall be judged in the tribunal of Christ for all the work we did here on earth, "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad," (2 Co 5:10); yet what a pity it is to miss out on one of the great and sublime privileges mankind may have today, to love The Lord our G-d with all our heart (inner man), soul (spiritual man), strength (physical man) and mind (intellectual man).
G-d does not want our duties in life, and in the kingdom for that matter, to be the number one thing in our lives. He wants to be the number one!!!! We may work for Jesus 15 to 20 hours daily, but if we don't give Him every day 15 to 20 minutes of our time in heartfelt, spiritual worship, He is not the number one and we are lying to ourselves. G-d is on the lookout for that kind of worshippers. "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." John 4:23-24.
Let's continue to do the work of the Lord, but always remember that the Lord is seeking people who want to make Him number one at all times and will make time for the daily heartfelt worship. These are the folks that will have a fruitful harvest in all they do. Are you a heartfelt worshipper?
In Him,
Pr. Paul Santos
