One of the best gifts that we can give one another is prayer. Prayers can do more for someone than any thing that man can give or offer to any human being because the Lord is behind them.
Does the Lord really hear every prayer or word that we pray? Yes!!! He even hears every idle word and records it according to the Bible.
In Matthew 12:36 Jesus said “...I say unto you, that every idle word that man shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.”
So if the Lord hears every idle word we know that He hears prayer as He did Hezeki-ah’s prayer. In 2 Kings 20:5 God answers Hezeki-ah’s prayer and told the Prophet, Isaiah, to “Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of My people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee; on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord,” And in the seventh verse, we read “...he recovered.” And we are told to “Pray without ceasing” (2 Thessalonians 5:17.)
