A Place of Encouragement

In Hebrews 10:24 – 25 we read, “and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near.

We often read or hear of folks that will find one thousand excuses not to be in the temple or place of worship on Sundays and much less during the week. Some are discouraged, some are cold, and some just have the wrong priorities. If we would just understand how beautiful this place ought to be, we would never miss a service. We find in the Scriptures that this house where the Lord dwells is called so many wonderful names such as:

          House of G-d - Beit Ha Elohim - I Chronicle 22:2

House of Prayer- Beit Tfilah - Isaiah 56:7

          House of the Lord-Beit Adonai - I Chronicles 19:3

          Holy House-Beit HaKodesh - I Chronicles 29:3

House of My Glory-Beit Tifarti - Isaiah 60:7

I could go on and on, showing how much the Lord esteems His holy dwelling. Missing a gathering is missing out on all the good stuff included and involved in this house, not to mention that according to the Word of G-d, this is the place to get a lift and to be encouraged and  to be an encouragement for others.

The word says: “let us consider how to stimulate one another.” Next time you leave home to go to church, think about a creative way to stimulate and encourage your brother or sister. There is cleansing in this gathering. Check 1 John: 7, the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all iniquities. Remember G-d’s House is a place of encouragement, so if you are under the weather, take a trip to the place of encouragement, G-d’s House.

In His service, your fellow servant,
