  A Building, a Field, and a Temple

Text:  I Corinthians 3:9,16

Have you ever thought of yourself as a building or a field?  What are buildings used for?  Buildings are used to dwell in, to store things, to house things or people!  What about a field?  A field is a place to be used to plant and harvest, among many other things. Paul the Apostle tells us we are G-d’s building, and in verse 16 he goes on as far as to say a temple!  What are temples used for?  A temple is a place of worship, the place where a deity is supposed to dwell and be worshipped.

Have you realized how marvelous you are?  You are a building, where G-d dwells, where His Glory can be stored; you are a field where the Word of G-d can grow and could bring a great harvest into the kingdom of G-d;  which in turn will bring a great manifestation of the Spirit, which by the way already dwells inside of you!!!  Halleluiah!  Do you realize how precious your body is?  Do you realize that the Triune G-d resides in His building…YOU!!!

As a temple, a place where people worship, our bodies must be (or should be) a living manifestation of G-d’s presence, a growing and flowing field of G-d’s Word and a walking praise machine!!!  Let’s crank up the praises this week.  Remember you are a temple (of the Holy Spirit) where the True and living G-d is worshipped!

In Him,

Pastor Paul Santos
